ℹ️ Quick Overview: Share templates with affiliated workspaces to maintain consistency across your organization while allowing each workspace to use templates without creating duplicates.
Understanding Template Sharing
Template sharing allows you to:
- Make templates available across multiple workspaces
- Maintain a single source of truth for standard documents
- Control which workspaces can access specific templates
- Update shared templates centrally
- Reduce duplication and version control issues
🔄 Key Difference: Unlike cloning, shared templates remain linked to the original. Updates to the shared template affect all workspaces using it.
Prerequisites
- Template manager or administrator role
- Workspaces must be affiliated (linked within same organization)
- Template must be published before sharing
- Destination workspaces must have sharing enabled
